the lilies swayin’ slow
thought I might see you passin’ by,

I saw a light upon a hill,
a city sparkled there.
I stood so lonely and so still,
in beams surpassing fair.

As my feet stepped to the path
I saw a rose in brightest bloom,
a crimson piece of seamless cloth torn from the Master’s loom.

Yes a rose by any other name

And Christ’s crimson-petaled love
makes roses bloom again.

There’s a lily of the valley
